MindShift has great content: Audio tracks for things like mindful breathing and progressive muscle relaxation, techniques to reduce anxiety, etc. Though I got the app for the Chill Out Tools, the Thinking Right section has proven to be a great asset as well. It provides many prompts for more realistic thoughts, to help you reduce anxiety or stress in your life. You can also add your own thoughts to this section.
But the app is buggy and sloppy. One frustrating bug is that often the screen goes white, requiring me to close and reopen the app. Another is that often scrolling stops working, again requiring me to close and reopen the app. These bugs make it infeasible to use the apps password option.
Even without the bugs, the apps design seems amateurish. Despite all this, I would use this app all the time if not for one glaring oversight -- the Chill Out Tools tracks dont keep playing when the phone goes to sleep. If your phone is set to sleep after five minutes or less of inactivity, the Chill Out Tools are worthless. And since theyre the primary reason I got the app, this is incredibly frustrating for me. This app is meant to help you manage anxiety, but it runs counter to its own goal by causing a lot of stress.
